Over the past decade, World Connection has carefully selected deserving individuals who exhibit characteristics such as:
Innate intelligence
Strong work ethic
Curiosity
Empathy
Currently, we are working with the following exceptional students:
From Côte d'Ivoire To Fletcher

Since 2012, World Connection has been guiding and coaching Abdourrachid Sow (aka “Rachid”) in learning English, developing research skills, networking, and improving interpersonal communication skills.
Rachid began his college experience in the United States at Endicott College, arriving from West Africa in the middle of a cold snap in January 2017. He completed his undergraduate degree with high honors, awards, and accolades such as a Deans’ Award, a Cultural Ambassador Award, and a “Best of the Best” Thesis Award in just 3 1/12 years and that after a total of only five years of formal education.
While at Endicott College, Rachid completed three curricular practical training, including a semester-long internship with Congressman Seth Moulton of the 6th District of Massachusetts. He was a leader on campus, holding titles such as Resident Assistant (RA), Global Ambassador, Presidential Ambassador, President of the Intercultural Club, Political Action Committee and Model UN team member, LIGHThouse Leadership Society Facilitator, and Graduating Class Representative.
Rachid has been accepted in the Masters of Arts in Law & Diplomacy (MALD) program at The Fletcher School at Tufts University and will begin in the Fall of 2021.
World Connection has followed Rachid’s personal and professional development over the past decade and remains committed to supporting his educational career.

Aboubacar Siddiq Sow
Aboubacar Siddiq Sow will begin his educational journey as a freshman at High Mowing High School in September 2021. Aboubacar is intelligent, diligent, caring, and has a passion for learning. He aced the West African 9th-grade exam last year amid the Coronavirus pandemic. His teachers selected him, because of his high academic performance and excellent public speaking skills, to give the end-of-year speech at his school every year since he was seven years old.
Aboubacar’s resilience is inspiring. At age five, he endured the difficulties of war such as hunger, lack of clean water, going into hiding in the forest and more. But he remained resilient and brave. He has a desire for knowledge and a natural tendency for leadership that needs cultivation.
